Torel 1884 Suites & Apartments offers a range of beautifully designed rooms and apartments for a comfortable and stylish stay in the heart of Porto. In our main building, you can find our reception, restaurant, library, and the rooms and Suites. In our second building, located in the parallel street, only a few minutes apart, you can find the Apartments.
Each room, suite and apartment is named after an exotic material that the Portuguese explorers brought back from their journeys – coffee, sugarcane, tea, porcelain and silk, as well as spices such as cardamom, pepper and cinnamon.
Both buildings are situated in the very heart of Porto, so you are literally only steps away from discovering this beautiful city.
No matter the choice between a room or an apartment, guests at Torel 1884 can expect a range of amenities to enhance their stay. High-quality linens, plush bedding, and comfortable seating ensure a restful night's sleep and relaxation. The rooms and apartments also offer modern conveniences such as flat-screen TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, and air conditioning to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
OUR ROOMS & SUITES
Our 12 exclusive rooms and suites are housed in an ancient/former palace dating back to 1884 in Rua Mouzinho da Silveira.
Each floor is themed according to one of the continents reached by the explorers, starting with “Africa” on the ground floor, “America” on the first floor, and “Asia” on the second floor.
The rooms at Torel 1884 are meticulously decorated, showcasing a fusion of contemporary design and vintage elements that pay homage to the building's rich heritage. Each room is unique, boasting its own character and personality, with attention to detail evident in every aspect.
OUR APARTMENTS
Our luxury family apartments are in a separate building, in the parallel famous pedestrian street Rua das Flores, 200 meters away from the main building, and houses 11 apartments.
The apartments at Torel 1884 provide an ideal choice for guests seeking more space and privacy. These spacious accommodations are thoughtfully designed, featuring separate living areas, kitchens, and luxurious bathrooms. With a blend of modern amenities and traditional touches, the apartments create a cozy and inviting atmosphere that feels like a home away from home.
If you are travelling with your family or want a more private stay, our apartments are the perfect choice.
Given the historic infrastructure of the building, we only have a staircase. The transportation of the luggage is entirely in our care.
Please note that, for the apartments, breakfast and room service are not included. If you want to enjoy breakfast, please make your request in the reception when checking in.

Suite Junior Deluxe
Our spacious suite with 55m2 is located on the ground floor, and has a twin bed, a terrace and is the only one in our palace with an outdoor jacuzzi. It can accommodate up to three people

Its decoration is inspired by the elephant of Portuguese King João III, Solomon - it was one of the wedding gifts to Maximilian II, Archduke of Austria.
